The car was produced in Great Britain and Australia. The MGB Roadster model was developed and put into production as a successor to the MGA model offered by the British Motor Corporation. Compared to its predecessor, it had a changed body style, and was also powered by a different power unit. First of all, it had a self-supporting body, which at the beginning of the 1960s was a technological novelty, which differed not only from its predecessor, but also from its market rival - the Triumph TR. As the name suggests, the MGB Roadster was primarily offered as a 2-door roadster.
